The Dragon’s Path
Colorado Reunion Weekend

July 21-24,2005

We're having a party and you are invited! Please join us for a Dragon's Path reunion the weekend of July 21st-24th. Mark your calendar for this fun-filled and action packed weekend deep in the heart of the Rocky Mountains - in Breckenridge, Colorado.  The list of summer activities is endless. We will hike, visit with old and new friends, quaff a glass of wine and enjoy local cuisine. It gives us great pleasure to offer this opportunity for past guests, friends and family to get together and share in the magic of the Rockies in the summer.

This is a unique program, designed so that you can enjoy planned activities, or opt for free time to experience and see things on your own. Breckenridge is base camp for some of your fellow travelers, some of whom have graciously offered to host you in their homes. What better way to enjoy your trip!  Home stay spaces are limited, so please sign up early for these.  Other accommodations are readily available, and we will be glad to arrange these accommodations for you.

The price, $398, is for past guests and just cover our costs to include all meals and lodging if you choose to do a home stay with fellow travelers. Prices vary based on other accommodations, as well as activities selected.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!

Thursday July 21st – arrival day. Once you get settled in, put on your walking shoes and head downtown. We will do a walking tour of Breckenridge, a quaint Victorian town whose history was impacted by the Ute Indians, the mountain men who were, trappers, ranchers and fortune seekers mining for silver and gold. Dinner

Friday July 22nd

Today we will offer a walk that starts in the Tiger Run Valley. Remnants of the mining history exist at the trailhead with a dredge boat that was left where it broke down. A dredge is a barge that was used for placer mining creeks utilizing a series of buckets to dig to the bedrock. It is estimated that a staggering $240 million dollars worth of gold was dredged out of Breckenridge’s streams. A World War II board order ceased dredging operations in1942.  Our walk meanders along an old stage coach route with this scenic trail opening  into a beautiful meadow. Our walk ends at  the Keystone Resort where we will have lunch and free time to visit Keystone’s River Run Village. We will Shuttle back to Breckenridge and have dinner at a local restaurant.

Saturday July 23rd

Today we have many options that you can sign up for including white water rafting, golfing, biking, spa-treatments, fly fishing or a mine tour.  Any of these activities will include an extra fee and reservations are necessary. We will gladly help with these bookings.

Ready for more walking?  We have multiple walks to choose from including The Peaks Trail, Mohawk Lakes and South Willow Falls. We will determine our walk(s) depending on what additional activities people choose. Tonight we will have a theme dinner at a local restaurant.

Sunday July 24th

Depending on your mood, you can opt to sleep in, or take an early morning walk. After another wonderful breakfast, we will prepare for your departure home.
