CLASSIC WALK- Seven Nights

From picturesque fishing ports to the rustic interior of rolling hills and grazing lands, the Basque country offers a fascinating region to explore that has been virtually untouched by the modern world. Being one of the oldest and most unique cultures still intact in Europe, our walks will lead us to discover a hidden world of charm and warmth.
Night 1: (included in Cost): Meet in Biarritz
Arrive to Biarritz, time to relax and dinner on own. Prepare for pick up following day.
Days 1 and 2 St. Etienne de Baigorry:. Explore the beautiful pilgrimage village of St. Jean Pied-de-Port. Walk through the enchanting wine country of Irouléguy and stop for a tasting of the local wines.
Day 3 Ainhoa: Transfer to the crest of the mountains above the Nive River and follow it as it descends into the village of Ainhoa.
Days 4 and 5 Sare: Cross over the border into Spain and visit the witches' sanctuary of Zugarramurdi. Walk through the oldest and most picturesque neighborhoods of Sare and take a legendary train ride up the sacred mountain of the Rhune.
Day 6 St. Jean-de-Luz: Transfer to the village of Bidart and walk along the cliffs of the Basque coastline to arrive in the old fishing port of St. Jean-de-Luz.
Day 7 Transfer to the train station in St. Jean de Luz for departures.
Price: $3595 for 4 to 6 guests if payment in full is made by January 31, 2005
